Information for people with disabilties
We offer visitors with disabilities a very warm welcome. The Grounds, Duchess’ Tearoom, Gift Shops, and Pottery are fully accessible
for wheelchair users. We have a number of manual wheelchairs that can be
reserved in advance at no additional charge. Unfortunately the structure
of both the house and the Antiques Centre imposes limitations on access to
upper floors and vaults because of steps. We do ask that visitors in wheelchairs
be accompanied by at least one person capable of assisting them in the event
of an emergency.
Guide Dogs & Hearing Dogs are Welcome
Please advise us in advance if you or any member of your party have any
special requirements and we’ll endeavour to meet them
